PRALHAD GURUNG MUSIC

Pralhad gurung is an America base, the Himalayan origin multidisciplinary artist FINE ARTS [Art, Design, Film, Literature and Music].

He was born in a small valley called Gopini, Chirang, Bhutan Dated May 5, 1985. At age 7 years of age, he fled with his family to Bhutanese refugee camp Goldhap, Jhapa Nepal and spent his childhood sharing and instructing fine arts to the young minds by establishing an institution called IFACA - BHUTAN [Institute of Fine Art and Commercial Art] and later the group called IIF [Ifacans Fine Arts] in the year 1994 - present. His 30 years of artistic life had won the national and international awards, along with this above hundred art exhibition, a dozen exploratory writing and conceived dozen award winning films. In Spring 2008, he completed his BA study from Mechi Multiple Campus Bhadrapur, Jhapa, Nepal and in Summer 2008, he resettled in San Francisco Bay Area, United States and started teaching as a volunteer art teacher at Oakland International High School. In Spring 2015 he graduated from Cornish College of the Arts Seattle, Washington with a degree in Art, Design and Film. Currently, he is an MFA/Phd student at Pittsburgh University, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA.

His creations are based on his childhood influence on nature about the Himalayas Folklores and refugee raised life connected his work about the refugees, homeless, orphans, poor and needy peoples. He aims to grow as an artist to reflect those hard life through the medium of fine arts to restarts a new life.
